William Morris Craft Projects

8th December 2018

There’s so much you can make from our William Morris fabric. We love seeing what you make; with fabric sold in various weights and sold by the half metre, there’s so much you can make! Remember to send your photos to us and tag us on social media!

William Morris Gift Wrapping

Fauna Home have given a wonderful take on a zero waste Christmas. There’s so much paper wasted this time of year, we’re all guilty of ripping wrapping paper and throwing it behind us as we giddily unwrap gifts. However, more sustainable and stylish, wrap your gifts with a tea towel and make your wrapping part of the gift! They finished it off with some twine and some beautiful clippings from the garden. Wrap each persons present in a different fabric to make them all look stunning next to each other – with so many licensed William Morris designs within our collection, there’s a design to pick for everyone. Fauna Home used our William Morris Willow Bough.

Last year, we added a nice sustainable Christmas tag – we got decorations made with everyones name on them – made of slate with gold writing and glitter dipped on the bottom. This year, they’re hanging on the Christmas tree, how lovely!

William Morris Ironing Board Cover

Lucy from Creative Magpie made this lovely ironing board cover. Since ironing boards aren’t the loveliest things and most just get thrown in the cupboard, we love that Lucy made it a feature and it really adds some design within the room, matching her walls wonderfully. Having converting their cloakroom into a utility, it works so well, plus William Morris Strawberry Thief is a lovely fabric to look at when doing the ironing!

William Morris Head Board

In William Morris Willow Bough green, Linda made a beautiful bed headboard. How lovely does this look – adding a white bedspread would really make this pop – maybe a snuggly cushion or two too! The best thing about this is that you could recover your current bed headboard – no need to buy new. Give it a lick of paint and re upholster to breathe new life into your piece.

William Morris Foot Stool

Vicky reupholstered this footstool in our William Morris Willow Bough Green fabric. It works so well to be a true centre piece in the room. With a matching cushion on her rocking chair, it really brings the room together! Small changes to revamp a room can really make such a difference! “Lovely fabric and great quality” was what Vicky said of her project.

If you make your own craft project from our William Morris fabric, don’t forget to show us! By emailing photos and a brief description of your project to laurasbeaufabric@gmail.com – we will send you a 20% discount code off your next order on our website.
