The sitting room at Wallington is a true delight with its William Morris Granville wallpaper.
The parlour first became a sitting room in the 1880’s and with the wonderful views outside and the lovely Turner paintings on the wall this is just a delightful room.
With the light streaming into this room I can just imagine the ladies sat sewing. There is a beautiful William Morris embroidered fire screen in the corner.
In another room I noticed this lovely basket of vintage haberdashery, this was one of the charms of Wallington.
In most of the rooms you could see normal everyday items mixed in amongst the more expensive treasures!
