24th July 2015

IMG_5254

I though you may like to see the photographs of the Observation Bar.

The bar is at the forward end of the ship on the promenade deck and was a popular meeting place for first class passengers. The Art Deco styling is complete and to sit and relax and look at the paintings and fixtures was just perfect!

This Art Deco Bar is as wonderful today as it was then.

The wonderful freeze above the bar.

The art in the public areas was designed jointly by British architect Arthur J. Davis and the American architect Benjamin Wistar Morris.

(Note our William Morris eyebright small bag!)
