St Michael’s Church, Plumpton
I thought you may like to see some photo’s I took on a recent visit to East Sussex.
I drove past this lovely church and had to stop to have a look.
Sadly the church was locked so I could not look inside.
A church in Plumpton was mentioned in the Doomsday Book.
The nave dates from c1100 and the tower from c1200 which was altered in c1400.
I had to stop as the church was so different from any I had seen before.
The different building materials were really interesting.
I was sorry I could not see the wall paintings which are part of the Lewes group, maybe next time!

Getting craft ready for Halloween with our little wool ghosts! 👻 We’re going to use them on place settings and on a Halloween tree 🎃 Super easy to make, all you need is wool, felt or googly eyes and some glue 🤎 we hope you like our first crafty video, we started with one ghost in the background and re did this video so many times we ended up with a whole ghost party- and we ended up covered in googly eyes 😂 The idea of the ghosts was from @thepomwreathcompany 🧡
