The lovely Church of St George is in the village of Kelmscott where William Morris spent his summers with his wife and children.
The alter frontal was given to the church by Jane Morris, it is Turkish Brocade and dates from the 17th century.
At either side of the alter, William Morris woven fabric is on the walls.
This beautiful church remains unaltered from the 16th century. it is wonderful to see William Morris fabric within the church.
