St Georges Church, Kelmscott

On a recent visit to Kelmscott Manor I visited St George’s church.

This beautiful church is almost unaltered since the middle of the 16th century.

The two bells in the bell tower, the one to the north is early 13th century and is one of the oldest bells in England.

The Tudor porch and door are just beautiful,

William Morris, his wife Jane and daughters Jenny and May are buried in the church yard.
