This licensed William Morris design was first produced in 1876. The design is named Pimpernel after the small pimpernel flowers within the design rather than the large poppies that dominate it. Pimpernel can actually be seen in the Billiard Room at Wightwick Manor which is incredibly beautiful. This design has a grey background and cream poppies, we also have the design available in Pimpernel Green.
The 100% cotton is printed in the United Kingdom.
William Morris Pimpernel has been printed onto 152 cm wide cotton with a 2.5cm salve edge on either side. The pattern repeat is 12cm. For the fabric length, it's sold by the half metre, so you can choose your length using the drop down above. If you order more than 0.5m in the same order, it will be sent as a continuous length.
We use high quality cotton fabric which is printed in the United Kingdom. Our printer is a long-established British printer. Every single one of our William Morris designs are licensed Morris designs. We print and manufacture all of our William Morris designs to our own specifications in terms of both size and colour to best suit our products. We can keep our fabric cheaper than competitors by printing within the UK and reducing transport costs, we are exclusively an online retailer and therefore we don’t need to pay for flashy showrooms!
