Thank you to Elaine for her photographs of our William Morris Compton medium bag which she took on a recent visit to Beamish.
Beamish is a working museum situated in County Durham.
The museum shows how people worked and lived in the North East England during the 1820s, 1900s & 1940s.
The museum has it’s own 1900’s town where you can see the bakery producing bread, cakes and biscuits using traditional Edwardian recipes.
There is also the Co-op which had been in Annfield Plain, in County Durham before being moved to Beamish
The museum looks very interesting from Elaine’s photographs, so much so I am planning a visit myself!
