16th November 2020
In preparation for the festive season, we wanted to put together a William Morris gift guide for you. It’s also a great time to mention our new gift wrapping service for 2020. It’s a bit of a rollercoaster this year and with the lockdown moving into December, whether we’re all going to be able to go Christmas shopping on the high street (and if we’re comfortable doing so) remains to be seen. Moving to purchase gifts online, we’re now offering gift wrapping as an option on our checkout. It’s £1.50 and we can then send it directly to the recipient or back to you, cutting our your trip to the post office. If you want it sent to your loved one, just set their address as the shipping address and we won’t include an invoice. You can also fill out a “to:” and “from:” so they know who’s gift is going under the tree.
Onto the gifts!
You can of course buy these separately, but as a gifting set we think the tea towel and oven gloves go quite well as a kitchen accessory duo. Perfect for the avid home baker and chef, these are equal parts functional and chic for displaying. There’s lots of William Morris designs for you to choose from to suit your loved ones kitchens colour scheme. You could pick two matching or mis-matching if you know they’d prefer different pops of colour.
If your loved one is a crafting genius, then some fabrics might be their ideal gift! We have a whole collection of licensed William Morris designs so you can pick one you know they’d like or buy lots of different ones in a range of colours you know they’d love. The fabric is sold by the half metre so if you wanted to treat them to a few different ones, it’s easy to mix and match, or buy a specific length if you know their next project.
We also have a range of weights of fabrics. All are 100% cotton – cotton, heavyweight cotton, drill and pvc.
The tote bag is a handy and stylish gift. We have a range of sizes from a small tote to a long handled over the shoulder tote. Also in a range of Morris designs, you can pick a colour that you know will suit their wardrobe and favourite colours. They’re all really handy, can be so versatile in use. Either use in place of a handbag, use it on a day trip to take extra bits and bobs. The larger bags are perfect for also taking shopping with you to save some plastic bags which is much more sustainable.
A tablecloth is a great gift. Used everyday, it can really brighten up a kitchen or dining room and is a great way to insert colour into a space. We’re not sure about you, but the table is the focal point in our homes. We can spend hours sat there with friends and family enjoying food, drink and lots of conversation! Therefore, we always want it to be a pretty area to sit! Changing out a tablecloth is a really easy way to instantly alter the way a room looks. Matching some placemats and napkins too really brings the space to life and makes it feel that little bit fancy.
There you go – our William Morris Christmas gift guide. If you are shopping for Christmas gifts online this year, we hope you’ll support us as an independent business. We’ve got a lot of different designs to choose from and lots of different products so be sure to go browse through our website and see what catches your eye for your loved ones this year. Or, if you’re buying yourself a gift, we hope you enjoy!
