On a recent visit to Port Sunlight I was able to view the wonderful Pre–Raphaelite paintings in the Lady Lever Art Gallery
One of my favourite paintings was by John Everett Millais (1829-96)
Spring (Apple Blossoms) was painted in 1859 and it shows young women having a picnic of curds and whey with beautiful apple trees in full blossom behind them.
