The Holst Birthplace Museum in Cheltenham is a rare example of a museum dedicated to a British composer. At present, the museum has an exhibition called Amongst Women: The Women in Holst’s Life which is showing until the 15th September. The museum is an interesting and unusual museum which celebrates the life and works of Gustav Holst, whose most famous work is The Planets.
The museum celebrates the life and work of Gustav Holst, who was both inspired by and was a friend of William Morris. The house is decorated in a late Victorian style and includes William Morris designs.
