The ceramic sculptures in Blackpool Tower buildings were modelled by Burmantofts’ top sculptor, E Caldwell Spruce. There are beautiful glazed ceramic sculptured pre-Raphaelite ladies on the walls.
Even utility areas, such as corridors and staircases, are decorated with turquoise and grey bas-relief faience panels or blue and buff faience panels set in terracotta tiles. The panels contain bas-relief sculptures of winged figures bearing cornucopia, others show children, while others show birds or fishes
